The Department of Workforce Services offers a child care assistance program where help is available to qualifying families for their child care expenses. We recommend that you contact your local DWS for complete details before enrolling any families who are receiving state assistance. Please visit OCC Subsidy Resources for more information.

It is possible that your program information on the Referral Database needs to be updated. Contact our Referral Department at 801-355-4847 or 866-438-4847 and speak with a Referral Specialist right away. If your information is up-to-date, it is possible that you are not offering the most requested services in your area. Our Referral Specialists can look at your information and help you understand what could help you get more phone calls.

Each participant has individual course schedule needs according to their educational, Career Ladder, or licensing requirements. Please contact the Care About Childcare Professional Department at 801-326-4403 with specific questions. For those who are new to the Career Ladder program or the licensing system, Career Ladder Level 1 courses are typically a good place to start. You can view our current course options on our website www.cssutah.org. You can gather additional Career Ladder information at http://urpd.usu.edu/.

Registration for make up courses is only done over the phone. Participants can call the Professional Development Department at 801-326-4403

All information for Career Ladder levels is provided on the Utah Registry for Professional Development’s (URPD) website: http://urpd.usu.edu/

Applications can take up to 8 weeks to be processed. All applications are processed through URPD. If 6-8 weeks has lapsed since the application was received by URPD, contact http://urpd.usu.edu/ or 855-531-2468. You can also view the status of your application on the Care About Childcare website with your username & password.

Participants can access their course schedule by logging onto their Care About Childcare profile. Click on the Professional Development Tile and go to the My Course Schedule.

The training calendar is available about 3 weeks before the new quarter begins. For example: the calendar will be mailed or posted online one month prior to the start of the new quarter. You can register for courses at that time at Care About Childcare.

To completely withdraw from a course please call 801-326-4403 at least 48 hours before a course begins (exception for emergencies). You will not receive a refund if you don’t give a 48-hour notice.

Classes that have been attended can be viewed by logging on to your Care About Childcare Profile and looking under your transcript’s icon.
