We are Sonnee and William, we live in West Jordan, Utah, and we are the biggest nerds you will ever meet. We love all the books, comic books, movies and television shows that support our nerdiness. That nerdiness extends to our daughter Madilynn. She is currently in second
grade and loves her school and teachers. We are lucky to live in such a great school district, Jordan School District.
We want another family member to join in our adventures of life. We are excited at the prospect of getting to know you and your family’s culture and traditions.
We are more than happy to have an open adoption because that will help us learn and grow along with your child about a new perspective we haven’t seen or heard of before. We would love to have regular contact with you and your family in whatever way makes you comfortable; photos, emails, letters, or meet ups.

We are a strong couple
We have been married for 13 years. We met through roommates of Will’s. Sonnee said Will was cute and the rest is history. Will was cute enough to ask permission to kiss Sonnee for the first time. Adorable. We are the best at communicating. We address problems together and we try to address disagreements discreetly because we don’t like to fight in front of Madilynn.
We love to travel and have been to Mexico and are planning a trip to Alaska soon. Everywhere we go as a couple Madilynn comes along. Even if it is a place we have been before, it is awesome seeing the newness of it all through her eyes.
Sonnee’s parents moved to Corpus Christi Texas in 2022. The beach is a must visit every time
we visit. Also, we like to go to new restaurants and stores to see what is happening. This is thebest time of the year. We leave our cellphones in the car and it is our best time to unplug.
Our nerdiest obsession is going to the Salt Lake Fanx. It is kind of like Comic Con and lasts for 3 days. Madilynn gets to meet the princesses, other characters she likes and always gets her face painted. We usually dress up as well. The previous year Sonnee was a Queen, Will a King and Madilynn a princess. We have also done Captain Hook, Tinkerbell, and Wendy. It is a fun experience, and you feel so welcome in a sea of nerds from different genres.
William could be a comedian
Will is the kind of guy that makes you laugh every day. No matter the topic he will find a way to make you laugh. He is also the fun one. He does voices like Smeagle from Lord of the Rings and also a version of Arnold Schwarzenegger that is to die for. Madilynn loves to pretend with Will. Will plays barbies with her or puppets and puts on funny shows to delight of Sonnee.
Will is a hard worker. He will always figure out how to fix something broken in the house or if we need new items in the house. He can cook too. He is amazing at taking a recipe on the bottle of ketchup and making it his own.
Sonnee is Wonder Woman
Sonnee is driven and smart. She keeps us going, always comes up with something fun to do as a family. She works very hard to try and make sure we have everything we want and need. Her
personality matches her name, so friendly and kind, but will go mama bear on anyone who messes with her babies. She has the most amazing laugh and I do whatever I can to hear it. Sonnee is amazing at her job, works out most days, is part of the community HOA, is in two book clubs and still somehow finds time to be an amazing mother and spouse.
What we do for a living
Sonnee is a Paralegal Specialist with the federal government. She assists attorneys with their legal work administering justice. Her office has a hybrid work schedule that allows her to work from home two days a week. Also, they are very flexible with emergencies and different situations. Government jobs are full of benefits for every situation.
William is the Assistant Branch Manager at a plumbing supply company. His days are always unpredictable, it could be assisting with counter sales, or helping in the warehouse with getting orders pulled and ready to go out on delivery or helping to receive and put away products. Some days are spent behind a desk responding to emails, looking into issues and working to get things resolved. William has been with the company for 12 years. It is a great company, filled with amazing people who understand that life is not about working 24/7 and are very flexible and supportive when life happens.
We live in an exciting part of Utah
We live in West Jordan Utah. Our location is great because of the great access to different activities. We are close to hiking trails to get fresh air and out of the urban setting. We are also close to downtown Salt Lake City and its theaters and restaurants. Our favorite place is Jordan Landing which has a theater, a ton of restaurants and an arcade. We have a park and great roads and streets to run and bike on as well.
The Family of families
Our family is made up of your typical grandparents, siblings, aunts, uncles, and in-laws. But we include everyone in the family. We don’t distinguish each other like that. Our friends are included in the family whole heartedly.
The amazing work families we have is where the action happens. Our work families accept our family as one of their own. We are invited to birthday parties and other family events like we are one of their own. They also share in our tragedies. We are the parents of two angel babies Baby Fynn and Baby Williams. They were both stillborn and we don’t know where we would be without our direct family and the extended friend family.
You find true friends and family through the tragedies, but you also have people who help you to laugh and remember life is worth living. We have countless people coming to us and sharing their stories of loss and of love and we accept them into our family.
Our kids are our greatest adventures
Our first child is Madilynn, she is seven and is in second grade. She is a beautiful spirit. Her kindness encourages us to be kind to anyone we meet. Her favorite hobby right now is gymnastics. She wanted to learn to do a cartwheel, so we set her up with her gym and she is in love.
Our first son Fynn was stillborn in December of 2019. It was the most horrible time in our lives because you never think this is going to happen to you. He was the most perfect little boy ever. We keep moving forward because of the love we have for him.
Our second son William was stillborn in April 2023. It was because of the love we have in our hearts that we felt we could try again for a baby. He had the look of his dad and thus we named him after him.
Our hearts may have scars, but it is because of the love we have for these three babies that we decided to pursue adoption. We have a lot of love left to give and we figured adoption would be another amazing adventure.
We are a cat family. We have three cats. First is Sassy. She is our old lady at 14 years old. She loves Madilynn. Then we have a brother and sister set, lovingly called the Kit Kats by Madilynn. Daria and Quinn came into our lives at the perfect moment. We love all our animals unconditionally.
