Tara Romney Barber, LCSW – Adoption Program Director
Adoption and Clinical Programs Director, Tara Romney Barber, has worked with children, adolescents, and their families in various capacities for almost 20 years and she is passionate about helping children and families discover their strengths and increase their resiliency. Tara believes in the importance of providing ethical pre- and post-adoption services to birth parents, adoptive families, and their children, and her experience working with those impacted by trauma informs her work supporting all members of the adoption constellation throughout their journey.
Additionally, Tara serves as an adjunct professor for the University of Utah’s College of Social Work, she is an active member of the United for Adoption Advisory Board, and she is a trainer for the nationally accredited, evidence based Training for Adoption Competency (TAC) curriculum.
In her free time, she loves spending time with her husband and two adult children, traveling, and taking photos.
