John Blair
John Blair is an Executive Director at Goldman Sachs. His career has majored on Global Markets and Private Equity with significant international experience gained in working and living in Glasgow, London, Salt Lake City and Warsaw whilst managing teams and functions in Asia and South America. He has significant experience in devising and delivering strategic initiatives across growth, scale, business facilitation, re-organization, footprint and process improvement. Whilst at Goldman Sachs he has held various citizenship positions at an office wide and regional level including head of the Salt Lake City Disability Interest Forum (2015).
He earned a Bachelor of Social Science (Hons) from Napier University in Scotland in 2004 and holds several banking qualifications. He is also an author of Sports books focused on Soccer and his first publication – “A Culture of Kits” – earned a place on the longlist of the worlds oldest and most prestigious literary sport writing award, The William Hill Sports Book of 2024.
John joined the Board of Children’s Service Society of Utah (CSS) in 2024 and is extremely passionate about helping the organization to grow and deploy more resources and expertise to assist children and families experiencing hardship. His passion and interest for Children Services was initially fostered through exposure to the work of family members in their careers including Health Visiting, Mediation and Counselling; critical services that no family in need should be denied.
