Jaswandi Vijay Sakpal
Jaswandi Sakpal is currently the Director of Engineering at American Express. She received a BE in Computer Engineering from the University of Pune and an MBA in Information Technology from University of Pune. Her career has progressed from being a software developer, architect, product leader to leading technology strategy and engineering teams as a member of the Executive Team for a SaaS company.
Jaswandi is originally from Pune, Maharashtra, India, and now calls Salt Lake City, Utah her home with her husband, two boys, and a fur baby. In her professional career, she serves as the Director of Software Engineering at a major financial company.
She has received several awards for excellence in software development and leadership. In her free time, she enjoys reading, decorating, and organizing community events. Jaswandi is also actively involved in the community with organizations like Utah Marathi Mandal, Tedx Salt Lake City, Uplift Squad, Women Tech Council, and more. Additionally, she has been passionate about teaching children, be it about the STEM program or volunteer activities with places like The Road Home, RMHC etc. She also loves volunteering and organizing events that bring people together and promote cultural exchange.
Jaswandi got involved with CSS because she is passionate about supporting the community and advancing social justice. As a Director of Software Engineering, she hopes to use her skills in strategic planning and technology to improve operations and outreach. Additionally, her connections from leadership roles in other volunteer organizations can help foster partnerships and secure funding. Jaswandi aims to leverage these skills and networks to strengthen CSS’s mission and create lasting positive impacts.
