Camille and Kimball

We met through our fathers, who served together in Christian church. Kimball was 16, and Camille was 15—we were high school sweethearts! Kimball was the star football player, while Camille was the shy basketball player. We both ran track, though Kimball, being the natural athlete, won his races, while Camille spent most of her time tripping over hurdles. We have so many fun memories from high school, from helping each other with homework—Kimball was the English whiz, and Camille was the math expert—to spending as much time together as we could.

After high school, we attended a junior college for a while before returning home to work. About 3 years later, Kimball proposed at an amazing restaurant, a place we still visit every year to celebrate our engagement anniversary. We got married in June at a beautiful event center, surrounded by our loved ones, and even bought our home a month before the wedding.

A year later, we traveled to Hawaii to renew our vows—it was such a beautiful and unforgettable experience. Now, we're enjoying life together, traveling, making memories, and most importantly, preparing to welcome a child into our family to share in all the love and adventure ahead!

Kimball is a kind, big-hearted husband who works incredibly hard and will do anything to support the people he loves. He is the second youngest of nine children, with one sister and seven brothers. Growing up, he was especially close in age to his older and younger brother, which made for a childhood full of sports, jokes, and endless fun.

From a young age, Kimball was independent—always wanting to do everything himself. He loved helping his mom, even if it sometimes meant making a bigger mess! He has a selfless nature, always willing to drop everything to help someone in need. Whether it's fixing something, lending a listening ear for hours, or even changing diapers while babysitting our nieces and nephews, he never hesitates to step in. He'll also tell you the honest truth (whether you're ready for it or not!) and keep you laughing with his quick wit. Though sometimes, I don't catch his jokes right away—he just shakes his head and says, "My brothers would've gotten that!"

Kimball has an adventurous spirit and will take any chance to be outdoors—whether it's skiing, hunting, camping, or shooting. And of course, he always makes sure I join him! I couldn't have chosen a more amazing husband. He will be an incredible DAD!

• She can start a campfire and find the best deals at the mall equally well.

Adoption has always been in our hearts, and we know it's the right path for us. Kimball was adopted into an amazing family, and his experience has given him a deep passion for adoption—he's always known he wanted to adopt one day. We have struggled for years to get pregnant and have experienced heartbreaking miscarriages along the way. Despite the challenges, our desire to be parents has never wavered. We are so ready to welcome a child into our lives, to love unconditionally, and to provide a warm, supportive, and joyful home.

Kimball is adopted and has learned how to cope with that reality. He never struggled with feeling like a part of his family; in fact, his own experiences have given him deep insight. He has been a great mentor, helping many of our family members and other friends and bond over their shared experiences.

Kimball will be an incredible support for our child, guiding them through their own adoption journey, answering their questions, and helping them feel confident and loved. Adoption has always been a beautiful thing to Kimball—he often says how blessed he is to have been adopted into his family.

Kimball has many family members who were also adopted, including his brother, who is seven months older than him, as well as his nephews and multiple cousins. They have all bonded over their shared adoption experiences and have leaned on each other for support. Despite their unique journeys, they all feel blessed to be part of the family they have.

Camille's father was also adopted, along with his sister, as their mother was unable to have children. He never knew his birth parents growing up, but he always expressed gratitude for his birth mother's decision to place him for adoption, giving him a better life. He deeply appreciated that choice. Later in life, he had the opportunity to meet his birth mother and cherished the time he spent getting to know her and learning about his birth family.

Our neighborhood is full of fun, with a pool, pickleball courts, two playgrounds, and a bike track for everyone to enjoy!

We live in a cozy 3-bedroom, 2-bath townhome that feels like home, with a bedroom ready for a wonderful child that we can love, care for, and spoil.

Our neighborhood has a fun playground right outside our front door, where lots of neighborhood kids love to play and gather.

In our town, we have a fun trampoline park that we visit all the time, and a wonderful annual rodeo that we never miss!

Kimball's family is big, fun, and full of love! There are always lots of kids around, with new babies joining the family all the time—making it extra special for cousins to grow up together. They share a love for travel and adventure, with St. George being a favorite year-round destination.

One of the most beloved family traditions is their trips to Lake Powell—boating, tubing, and ending the day with ice cream from Grandma. They also love getting together to swim, watch movies, grab drinks, and just enjoy each other's company. Family time is everything, and they make the most of every moment together!

Camille's family is a fun, spunky bunch who love the outdoors. Her parents live on acres of land, making it the perfect place to run around with the dogs and enjoy nature. Whether hiking, riding four-wheelers, or just soaking in the fresh air, they love being outside. Camping is a big family tradition, especially when gathering with extended family. Hunting is another passion, bringing everyone together year after year for memorable trips.

Beyond their outdoor adventures, they always find ways to have fun—whether shopping (especially for hunting gear!), grabbing In-N-Out, or stopping by Swig for their favorite drinks. No matter what, time together is always filled with love, laughter, and adventure!
