Child Care Provider Coaching Program
The Child Care Provider Coaching Program (PC) is designed to provide individualized support and training to licensed family and center base caregivers. The caregiver, in conjunction with the coach, identify the program’s strengths and areas for improvement. They sets goals, develop and follow a plan of action that aims to improve the quality of the child care program. The caregiver receives 20-30 hours of onsite coaching. Upon completion of the program, the caregiver is eligible to receive a PC materials Grant worth $400 of developmentally appropriate materials.
PC Materials Grant
The Provider Coaching Grant (PC Grant) is designed to support caregivers in applying the information and concepts learned while participating in the Child Care Provider Coaching Program (PC). Candidates are eligible to receive a PC Materials Grant upon completing of PC Program. Grant recipients will receive $400 worth of materials or equipment that targets the needs of young learners.
CAC Resource Open House & STAR Night
This takes place the 3rd Wednesday of each month
- Resource Open House is from 5:00 to 6:45 p.m. Caregivers can check out materials from the Lending Library, purchase inexpensive surplus materials from the General Store, laminate materials ($.50 cents per foot) and use the die cut, CriCut and binding machines.
- STAR Night is from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. At STAR Night caregivers receive Support, Training, Assistance and Resources. During this time, caregivers can network and build friendships and learn ways to improve the quality of child care in their program. Participants hear about updates and changes pertaining to the current Early Childhood governing agencies.
