If you have the passion to strengthen families, build safe environments for children and help moms prepare their pre-school children for educational success, then Children’s Service Society has a place for you as a volunteer. It is a tradition we’ve been cultivating in Utah for 127 years.
We currently have the following volunteer opportunities:

Our Utah Parents as Teachers/Welcome Baby program is looking for volunteers to visit low income or at-risk new moms in their homes. You will have an opportunity to pass along your wealth of experience and wisdom to new moms who want additional resources to raise healthy and well-adjusted children.

Our Grandfamilies Relatives as Parents program fosters safe and enriching kinship care. The number of children in Utah living in unsafe families due to drugs, violence or other forms of abuse is rising at alarming rates. Volunteers are needed to help with a myriad of monthly social events and parties that bring laughter, love and fun to the lives of both children and relatives who want to create a safe environment for kids. These include our Friend 2 Friend program as well as holiday parties at Halloween, Easter, and Christmas, including a summer BBQ. Those who have experience working with emotionally at-risk children are needed to help us run children’s groups and psycho-educational groups.
